The senator has done a wonderful public service. His blog shows recent peer-reviewed research, and articles detailing UN studies and the lack of consensus. This is very important for everyone to read.

On a more technical level, I completely agree that the sun plays a role, although we have not been able to quantify it yet. It is probably in the range of 33-50% of the total observed temperature variation. Stay tuned for more details.

There is no "consensus"
This petition site shows that there is no consensus amongst scientists in regards to global warming.
www.petitionproject.org
As a meteorologist myself, I cannot overemphasize how important is for scientists to stand up and say that catastrophic, man-made global warming has not been proven, and most likely is not happening. Not only are the economic effects of cap-and-trade, etc... dangerous, but the politicization of science is equally as dangerous for our country.
Also, I will be signing this petition too.
